Violet Co is looking for an experienced, professional and exceptional paralegal, who shares our drive and passion to make a tangible difference. 

We are looking for a part-time paralegal to join our growing team, 2 days per week in our Darlinghurst office (with some flexibility for working remotely).

Our paralegals support our solicitors to provide exceptional client experience, legal representation and insight to our clients. The role will involve day-to-day legal, administrative and advocacy functions, including: 

  • Managing client files; intake, set up, file review, time recording and file closure processes

  • Managing the practice diary to ensure deliverables and deadlines are met

  • Exceptional ongoing client care; inclusive, culturally competent and trauma informed contact with clients

  • Supporting legal matters; legal research, and drafting correspondence and legal documents

  • Supporting the team with law reform research and submissions

  • Assisting with advocacy activities, communications, and events

About you…

To join our team as a Paralegal, you need to have some prior involvement in and understanding of the law. You must have studied, or be studying, law, arts or another related discipline. In addition, we are looking for experience. This could include, but is not limited to; working in employment law or industrial relations, working in a legal practice or another professional services firm, or in advocacy, the for-purpose sector or for another charitable initiative.

Students are welcome to apply - the position can be worked flexibly with the hours spread over 2 or 3 days per week.
